Kerim Alajbegovic’s future is still unclear, but the Bayer Leverkusen winger is pushing for a move to Serie A.
As confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, the 2007-born striker has given Italy a preferential path and considers it the preferred destination for his continued development.
Napoli has been working on this deal for weeks, but meetings are now expected with new coach Massimiliano Allegri to determine whether to continue pursuing the Bosnian winger.
Roma will undoubtedly sign a top-tier winger, and sporting director Frederic Massara also had an eye on the player, but now the ball is in the player’s court for new sporting director Tony D’Amico.
As journalist Alfredo Pedullà added, Bayer Leverkusen is asking €30 million to sign Kerim Alajbegovic. Roma are interested in the Bosnian winger (followed primarily by former sporting director Frederic Massara), but haven’t yet discussed the matter further, as Gian Piero Gasperini wants more capable and capable players like Marseille’s Mason Greenwood.
