It's the final Saturday of June, and many Rossoneri fans are already looking ahead to the new season. Excitement for the future is growing, while the Club's rich history remains as present as ever. On 27 June 1963, Nereo Rocco brought the first great chapter of his AC Milan stint to a close with a 4-0 victory over Inter in the Trofeo Città di Milano. Eight years later, on the same date, Giovanni Trapattoni made his final appearance for the Club in the Coppa Italia Final. In 1980, 27 June became a historic night for another reason, as Bob Marley performed his legendary concert at San Siro, an event attended by countless football fans. More recently, 27 June 2024 became a landmark date in the Club's modern history, when Milan Futuro was officially admitted to Serie C. Just six weeks later came the team's first competitive fixture: a convincing 3-0 victory away to Lecco in the Serie C Coppa Italia.

Milan Futuro was created with a clear objective: to maximise the development of the Club's brightest young talents by providing them with meaningful experience in a demanding professional environment. The second team allows AC Milan to retain and nurture academy graduates, giving them regular opportunities to compete in senior football while preparing them for the demands of the first team or other top-level environments. Training methods, tactical principles and player development pathways are closely aligned with those of the senior squad, ensuring a seamless transition whenever players are called upon. The project is built around a carefully selected, streamlined group, avoiding oversized squads and guaranteeing valuable playing time for every player. It is the ideal proving ground for the next generation of Rossoneri talent, including exciting young prospects such as Aurélien Guernier and Andrej Kostić.
