With the season winding down, Midlands transfer talk is gathering pace, spanning Wolves outgoings, a West Brom goalkeeper twist and an Aston Villa midfield target.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, Bologna retain interest in Wolves full back Jackson Tchatchoua. He joined for £12.5m from Hellas Verona last summer, endured a difficult spell, and is set for a summer move following relegation.

Jose Sa and Toti Gomes have offered contrasting comments on what comes next for them beyond this season.

Hwang Hee-chan has been linked with Fulham and now Brentford, and it is expected he will depart this summer. Lazio are also said to be monitoring the forward.

Joe Wildsmith, recently released by West Brom, could yet be involved in a promotion story after a loan at Middlesbrough. Following the Spygate fallout, Boro have been reinstated to the play-off final, days after his Albion exit. He has been linked with a return to Sheffield Wednesday after their relegation to the Championship.

Southampton’s play-off ban has prompted Albion fans to speculate about any knock-on effects on last summer’s Tom Fellows deal. Southampton were removed from the play-offs and lost their appeal after admitting spying charges, and supporters have questioned whether any add-on might be affected.

Japan midfielder Hidemasa Morita is on Villa’s radar, with Brighton and Porto also tracking the Sporting CP player, who is a free agent this summer. The 40-cap international has held talks with Leeds but is said to favour a move elsewhere, with interest from France, Germany and Italy.
