The Gunners are in advanced talks over a blockbuster move for Viktor Gyokeres and are said to have submitted an opening bid for Chelsea winger Noni Madueke. Arsenal may have received a boost over Rodrygo and are said to be considering a swap deal for Eberechi Eze, with Cristhian Mosquera also firmly on their radar.

Another day, another update in the future of Viktor Gyokeres.

According to GIVEMESPORT, the latest is that Arsenal’s last talks with Sporting regarding the striker took place last Sunday. Sporting are said to have quoted a €70m plus €10m asking price and are standing firm on their stance of not accepting a €65m fixed fee.

In addition, the report states that the Portuguese champions are yet to receive an improved formal offer, despite the expectation of one.

Arsenal have identified Eze as a top summer transfer target but Bayern have now reportedly joined the race for the Crystal Palace star.

Kudus medical today

Tottenham have reached an agreement with West Ham for the transfer of Mohammed Kudus, writes Dom Smith.

Standard Sport understands a £55million fee has been agreed, and a medical has been booked for today.

Kudus, 24, is expected to sign a six-year deal on arrival at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

He will mark a statement signing for Thomas Frank as he looks ahead to his first season in the Tottenham dugout.

Real Madrid’s loss to PSG at the Club World Cup heralded the end of two players’ stays at the club.

Luka Modric departs after 13 trophy-laden years, and is set to join AC Milan in August, as confirmed this week by Massimiliano Allegri.

Xabi Alonso said: “{Modric] will be remembered as a football icon. He will not be remembered for today's match."

Also departing is Lucas Vazquez, who will be available as a free agent. The Spaniard is a four-time La Liga winner and a five-time Champions League winner with the club, where he has plied his trade since 2007.
