Four Roma players have contracts expiring on June 30, 2026: El Shaarawy, Pellegrini, Dybala, and Celik.
The Turkish full-back, who starred in Turkey’s World Cup qualifiers a few days ago, appears close to leaving the Giallorossi this summer.
As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, if an agreement isn’t reached for the former Lille player’s contract renewal, Juventus and Inter are reportedly ready to make a move and sign him on a free transfer.
The agent of the Giallorossi number 19 commented on rumors of his possible departure at the end of February: “The rumors that Zeki has reached an agreement with a club are not accurate.”
“He currently plays for a major club, and it’s natural that major teams in Italy and England would show interest in a player competing at this level and that his name would be associated with those clubs.”
It remains to be seen whether there will be room for an agreement between the Giallorossi and the player. If a mutually satisfactory figure isn’t reached, the Turk will pack his bags and bid farewell to the capital after four seasons.
