Valencia fans delivered a clear verdict on nine soon-to-expire deals, backing six to stay, led by Guido Rodríguez on 99% and Stole Dimitrievski on 95%. The poll also points to a right-back reset.
According to Superdeporte, 2,406 votes were cast across nine questions on contracts expiring on 30 June. Two, Eray Cömert and Thierry Rendall, are out of long-term deals, while Renzo Saravia and Guido Rodríguez agreed short-term contracts, Guido having previously rescinded with West Ham. Dimitrievski signed a 2+2 in summer 2024 that can be extended with a €350,000 rise, and four others arrived on loan, with Julen Agirrezabala the only one carrying a €12m option.
Fans want Unai Núñez kept on 89%, Largie Ramazani on 82%, Lucas Beltrán on 72% and Cömert on 69%. In contrast, only 4% would pay for Agirrezabala, 21% would renew Rendall and 24% would hand Saravia a full season.
The right side is under review with Dimitri Foulquier injured and a year left. Rendall’s injury record clouds his case, and a hamstring tear prompted Saravia’s stop-gap arrival, yet five weeks on he has not debuted.
Support for Agirrezabala is hit by cost and by an upswing that coincided with Dimitrievski replacing the loanee after a meniscus injury. The North Macedonian has also shifted Carlos Corberán’s view, having previously been behind Girorgi Mamardashvili and then the Athletic graduate.
Unai is contracted to Celta until June 2028, so any move needs their approval. To stay at Mestalla, he would need to lower his salary demands.
