Valencia remain winless away after a 4-1 defeat in Vigo, with the Elche fixture still to come in the first half. Carlos Corberán’s side again looked short of identity and solidity.
According to Superdeporte, Celta struck too easily and exploited a flimsy defence, including a needless penalty conceded by Foulquier, who was given a one. Agirrezabala, rated four, saved well from Mingueza and guessed right on the spot kick but could not keep it out.
André Almeida won a Valencia penalty that Pepelu missed, then the midfielder later reduced the deficit. A comeback never felt likely, and Pepelu’s late turnover led to Celta’s fourth, though he was marked four.
Thierry Correia and Jesús Vázquez both scored three after error-strewn displays. Diakhaby also got three after a shaky afternoon, while Copete earned four following a steadier first half.
Javi Guerra rated three, lacking presence. Hugo Duro and Lucas Beltrán got four, the former isolated, the latter for work rate rather than impact. André Almeida was four after fading.
From the bench, Rioja three offered little, Ramazani four had limited effect, and Tárrega four was tidy and even prevented a Celta goal. Danjuma four added energy and improved the attack, Diego López three made no imprint.
Agirrezabala went off late, so Pepelu finished in goal. Corberán was rated two for repeating the Metropolitano plan and persisting with out-of-form players as the away slump continued.
