‘Very difficult’ to imagine Vinícius Jr. still being a Real Madrid player next season | OneFootball

A headline-grabbing update on the future of Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. has this week come to the fore online.

This comes amid claims that the Brazilian is inching ever closer to an imminent departure from Spain’s capital.

Vinícius’ entourage have been locked in talks with the Real Madrid board for some time now, over the terms of a new contract for their client.

To date, however, the parties have failed to reach any sort of agreement.

Add to this the mounting tension between the 24-year-old and new manager Xabi Alonso, which recently reached new levels entirely during El Clásico, and Vinícius’ place at the Santiago Bernabéu, it would appear, is no longer certain.

In fact, quite the opposite now appears to be the case.

As per a report from market insider Sacha Tavolieri of Sky:

‘A source close to the Real Madrid dressing room told us it was “very difficult to imagine Vinícius still at Madrid next season.”‘

The Real Madrid brass are understood to have set an asking price of around €150 million for their star winger.
