On the pitch, Michael Olise is beyond reproach. Off the pitch, he is now making headlines, as the French FC Bayern attacker has apparently fallen out with the fans of Brazil’s Selecao

The reason for this is a video that is currently going viral on social media, in which Olise was asked to name the best players of selected nations in a well-known quick format

Olise causes a flood of comments under video

The third nation to be named was Brazil, where Olise briefly pondered and then replied: „I don’t know.“

This prompted reactions from Brazilian fans. GIFs and photos of Neymar under the video were particularly popular. One fan commented: „Ronaldinho Gaucho, Ronaldo Nazário, Pelé, Neymar Jr, Kaká, Rivaldo, Cafu, Romário… Here’s a couple of Brazilian names just in case you ‚don’t know.“ However, it should be noted that apart from Neymar, none of the players on this list are still active

Nevertheless, the Brazilian fans had apparently expected more from the FC Bayern attacker. Interestingly, the original video can apparently no longer be found on Instagram, TikTok and X via the official channels. Only excerpts like the one above can still be found online

Incidentally, after the statement on Brazil, Olise directly named Lamine Yamal from FC Barcelona as the best player in the Spanish selection.
