Joao Pedro was wheeled out to do some TNT Sports media duties ahead of Chelsea’s game against Qarabag last night, where he started and played a key role for Enzo Maresca’s team.
He was asked for the best goal he’s scored, the best game he’s played in, the best atmosphere he’s experienced, the team he’s played against, the best player he’s played against, the best player he’s played with, the player he looked up to as a kid, and the best memorabilia he’s got from a game in his career so far.

Wesley Fofana, Jorrel Hato, and Joao Pedro train with their team mates
Flamengo, Leo Messi, Brighton, Neymar, the Maracana, Tottenham, Vinicius Jr and Harry Kane all get a mention.
Notice anything about those answers? Not one of them has anything to do with Chelsea.
Listen, we’re only having fun. He’s only been at the club for a few months – there’s plenty of time to make new memories. But it’s quite funny (and very unusual) to get through an interview like this without even a passing mention of the club you play for.
We really hope that if he repeats this exercise in a year, he can have a few Chelsea related moments in there. Hopefully the return of Liam Delap to fitness unlocks the Brazilian in a Chelsea shirt as we’ve been repeatedly promised it will. There’s plenty of season left.
Joe Cole has named the player he thinks would be his first name on the Chelsea team sheet – and surprisingly it isn’t Cole Palmer.
Chelsea are hoping that a player already on their books can give their team a boost as soon as tonight – Liam Delap should be starting for the Blues in Azerbaijan.
