Villarreal academy winger Víctor Moreno joins CD Tenerife after nine years at Miralcamp | OneFootball

Villarreal confirmed this morning the transfer of academy winger Víctor Moreno to CD Tenerife. The club said in a statement that the move had been agreed between both teams.

Moreno leaves Miralcamp after nine seasons with the club, having arrived from Granada's academy. He progressed through the ranks and wore the yellow shirt throughout.

He broke through early, making his Segunda División debut with Villarreal B. In 2023/24 he was the only youth-age player registered with the B team during their spell in the second tier.

Over the past two seasons he had a prominent role in Primera Federación, serving as one of the team's captains.

In the last winter window he sought another shot at Segunda División, joining Cultural Leonesa on loan and scoring two goals in 16 appearances.

After the loan, the 21-year-old was not in Iñigo Pérez's first-team plans and did not contemplate returning to Primera Federación with the reserves. He departs the club he has called home since 2015 in search of a new opportunity to shine in the second tier.
