Manchester United are preparing to invest further in their squad following their success in this summer’s transfer window.
The Red Devils signed Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha and Senne Lammens this year, and the new arrivals have settled in well at the Theatre of Dreams.
However, with Joshua Zirkzee’s future uncertain, INEOS are already planning for the future and remain keen to add more firepower to their attack.
It is now believed that former Barcelona forward Vitor Roque has emerged on their radar as a potential option for the job.
Vitor Roque first caught the eye at Atletico Paranaense, prompting the Catalans to secure his signature in the summer of 2023. The Brazilian officially joined the LaLiga champions in January 2024 but struggled to make an impact.
Even a loan move to Real Betis failed to improve his form, and Barcelona permanently transferred the player to Palmeiras in February this year.
However, the 20 year old has managed to get his career back on track since returning to Brazil. He has scored 17 goals and set up five more in 50 appearances to date, and has forced the Old Trafford hierarchy to take notice.

United have shifted their focus to the South American market of late and are monitoring emerging talents such as Allan, Breno Bidon and Rayan.
A recent report relayed by The Peoples Person states that the Red Devils are preparing a €50 million offer for Vitor Roque. The player’s agent, Andre Cury, has since clarified his client’s future.
Speaking to Globo Esporte, Cury revealed that the player has already turned down the chance to move to the Middle East.
“We already had an offer from the Arab world of 35 million euros, which we were not interested in. We are now waiting to receive a proposal of around 50 million euros from the Premier League,” said Cury.
“The plan was to return here, regain strength and also study the market. If a good offer comes for everyone and they understand that he has to leave, he is willing to listen, but he is very happy at Palmeiras. Now the goal is to try to win the Brazilian Championship and the Copa Libertadores.”
United will be pleased with the recent developments, which could align with their plans. The Red Devils are long-term admirers of the Brazilian, and previously failed in their attempt to sign him during his time at Barcelona.
Vitor Roque is versatile enough to play across the frontline and could prove a good fit in Ruben Amorim’s tactics.
