West Brom and Wolves could go head to head for Crystal Palace loanee Danny Imray this summer, with Aston Villa monitoring Southampton’s Leo Scienza among several Midlands transfer lines. According to ExpressAndStar.com, clubs are already moving as the window nears.
Albion want Imray back after an eye-catching loan and the right-back has one year left on his Palace deal. Wolves have joined the chase alongside Burnley and German clubs, and James Morrison is said to want to keep him. Interest from relegated sides could complicate matters.
David Moller Wolfe has hinted he may stay, speaking of bringing positive momentum into next season with a clear aim to go straight back up. Hugo Bueno is drawing interest too, with Everton, David Moyes' side, reported to value his versatility after previous links with Newcastle and Tottenham.
Rangers defender Leon King, who impressed at Ayr United, has not been offered a new deal at Ibrox. He has been linked with Albion and other Championship and SPL clubs. Huddersfield midfielder Cameron Ashia, 21, is also on Albion’s radar, with talks claimed and a fee near £500k.
Villa and clubs in Brazil are monitoring Scienza, a Brazilian-born attacking midfielder who joined Southampton last summer and has been key in their promotion push. With the Spygate row ongoing, his future is unclear. He is said not to have a release clause, and around £30m has been reported.
Villa are also said to hold concrete interest in Hoffenheim winger Bazoumana Toure, with Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Bayern Munich watching. The Ivory Coast international has five goals in 45 games and is valued between 30 and 40 million Euros.
