According to ExpressAndStar.com, West Bromwich Albion aim to complete two attacking deals early in the window. Falkirk striker Barney Stewart is a key target, while 20-year-old Chelsea forward Jimmy-Jay Morgan is on the brink of a £1.3 million move.
Stewart, 22, excelled in his first full professional season, scoring 18 in 33. He started on loan at Dunfermline before being recalled in January.
The Londoner was previously at QPR, then moved to Scotland for university. He joined Falkirk in October 2024 after impressing as an amateur for Heriot-Watt University.
A return to England and the Championship could follow, with Albion understood to be frontrunners. Interest surfaced last month, and Stewart said the talk felt surreal, that it would be a big step if it happened, but remained speculation.
Albion are also nearing a deal for teenage defender Carter Pinnington from Liverpool. After cutting losses to meet profit and sustainability rules, they now have more room in the market.
