West Bromwich Albion signed off pre-season with a win at London Road, as Nolan Galves impressed on his first appearance and Aune Heggebo and substitute Barney Stewart scored.

Jimmy-Jay Morgan could not find a goal against his former club despite neat touches and several efforts, six. Heggebo continued his pre-season form with a poacher’s strike to break the deadlock, six.

On 68, Conor Townsend returned for Styles, six, Mikey Johnston moved central and set up a goal, seven, Barney Stewart replaced Heggebo and scored with a cool finish before missing late, seven, and Alex Williams came on for Galves, six. On 77, Alex Mowatt, Matty Crowther and Ollie Bostock featured but were unrated. Unused were Ingram, Cisse, Bielik, Gilchrist and Mepham.
