Serie A side Cagliari signed Roberto Piccoli permanently from Atalanta last month and West Ham are now interested in him.

CagliariNews24 report that the Sardinians want a fee of €30 million and now, West Ham’s interest is growing increasingly concrete.

The report claims that Piccoli is very interested in the possibility and this can play a key role in the deal and can also reduce Cagliari’s asking price.

If the striker informs the club about his desire to leave, things can move quickly. If he puts pressure on Cagliari, an agreement could be reached for a lesser fee than €30 million.

The Italian has not expressed an exclusive desire to leave yet but would be happy with a move to West Ham. The next few weeks can prove key and as of now, Cagliari are quite insistent on their price tag, with the Hammers having made enquiries already recently.
