West Ham monitoring Toulouse defender Charlie Cresswell

According to a report from Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenburg, Premier League side West Ham United are keeping tabs on Toulouse centre-back Charlie Cresswell (23). This is among Premier League interest for the English defender, although no concrete talks have yet been opened. The 23 year-old has become a key figure in Carles Martinez Novell’s backline at TFC, having made 17 appearances already this season, and scored on three occasions. Under contract until 2028, the England U21 international has shown an eye for goal on set pieces and has attracted scouts from across the channel. Cresswell joined Toulouse in 2014 from Leeds United on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee, and has since been one of the brightest defenders in Ligue 1 last season and during the current campaign in France’s top flight.
