What happened during Laporta’s three hour visit after the Madrid clash?

Joan Laporta president of FC Barcelona showed his support for the players and coaching staff after the club’s 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid in Sunday’s El Clasico at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Barcelona’s loss left them second in La Liga on 22 point, five behind leaders Real Madrid (27).

Laporta arrived at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper complex on Monday afternoon where he spent 3 hour with the squad and technical team.

The Barca president was accompanied by Enric Masip and met with sporting director Deco encouraging the group to stay united and optimistic ahead of the upcoming fixtures.

Reports confirmed that Laporta took extra time to speak privately with Lamine Yamal.

The president reportedly spent 20 minute with the young winger offering reassurance & support before Yamal’s departure from the training ground.

He also conveyed optimism about the team’s immediate future hoping to soon recover key players such as Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Dani Olmo and Juan Garcia.
