Few EFL teams matched the dominance of Nuno Espírito Santo’s 2017/18 Wolves, whose flair and consistency powered promotion. Nearly a decade on, with Wolves set for a Championship return next season, here is where that squad dispersed.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, John Ruddy became third-choice at Newcastle United after a stint at Birmingham City. Will Norris is with Wycombe Wanderers, and Harry Burgoyne has returned to Shrewsbury Town as a goalkeeper coach aged 29.

Matt Doherty left for Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid, then returned to Molineux. Conor Coady moved on via Everton, Leicester and Wrexham to Charlton Athletic, while Willy Boly remains at Nottingham Forest but has not played league minutes this season.

Helder Costa is an Angola international and currently clubless after a 2025 spell in China, and Ivan Cavaleiro plays for FC Zurich. Rafa Mir is on loan at Elche and under investigation for separate alleged sexual assault and racism offences.
