Vasilije Adzic stole Sunday’s headlines after his 91st-minute screamer to settle the Derby d’Italia between Juventus and Inter at the Allianz Stadium on Saturday night. Here is everything you need to know about the new teenage Bianconeri sensation.
Adzic was named among the substitutes at the start of the early-season Derby d’Italia between Juventus and Inter in Turin on Saturday evening.
He watched on as Lloyd Kelly opened the scoring for the Old Lady, before seeing Hakan Calhanoglu equalise for the visitors. Kenan Yildiz restored Juve’s lead before half-time, only for Calhanoglu to level again just after the hour mark.

Adzic was introduced in the 73rd minute, a few minutes shy of Marcus Thuram finding the net with Inter’s third goal of the game. His brother, Khephren, then levelled for Juventus to bring the scores level once again at 3-3.
Then came the moment of magic from the teenager, who took a touch to control Khephren Thuram’s lay-off, and then found the back of the net from 30 yards out in the first minute of injury time to hand Juventus a stunning 4-3 victory over their bitter rivals.

Adzic has been on Juve’s books since the start of the 2024-25 season, having joined the club from Budućnost Podgorica in his native Montenegro.
He had come through the academy ranks with Budućnost Podgorica, but was fast-tracked into the first-team and in 2022, at the age of 16, he went on to score on his first-team debut, becoming the club’s youngest ever goalscorer and the second-youngest goalscorer in the Montenegrin top flight in the process.
Juventus had long been monitoring the teenage talent, with reports that they had considered making a move to bring him to Turin in the summer of 2023. In the end, they waited until 2024, snapping up the youngster for a reported fee of €2m plus around €3m in bonuses.
In a peculiar coincidence, Adzic was born on the same day that the infamous Calciopoli scandal broke in Italy, on May 12, 2006.

Since joining Juventus, Adzic has spent his time split fairly evenly between the first-team, Next Gen squad and the treatment room.
He scored four goals and two assists from his 10 appearances in Serie C with the Next Gen side in 2024-25, and also made nine cameo appearances for the first-team, albeit for a total of 77 minutes, all coming off the bench.
Positionally, Adzic brings a lot of versatility to the Juventus side. He is perhaps most natural in an advanced midfield role, but is also capable of playing in more of a central role, and has also filled in at left-wing and at centre-forward on occasion.
