Luciano Spalletti altered his half-time substitution plan in Juventus’s Serie A clash with Lazio, sending on Zhegrova after Francisco Conceicao reported a knee issue while warming up. According to Football Italia, the change of course came moments before the restart.

With his side 1-0 down at the break, Spalletti had prepared an attacking switch. He withdrew full-back Juan Cabal and primed Portugal international Conceicao, who had been given detailed instructions by the Juventus coaching staff during the interval.

Conceicao then felt something in his knee and was not risked for the second half. Zhegrova entered instead, taking Cabal’s place.

Lazio struck through Pedro, then Gustav Isaksen made it two. Weston McKennie pulled one back just before the hour.

Pierre Kalulu equalised with 15 seconds of injury time remaining.
