Will Chelsea’s Kendry Páez complete Strasbourg loan? | OneFootball

Kendry Páez (18) has not had the desired impact since joining RC Strasbourg Alsace on loan from Chelsea at the start of the season. 

The Ecuador international arrived with a big reputation, given his performances in South America and his 23 caps at international level, despite his age. However, his impact has been limited since arriving in France.

He has started just four games in Ligue 1 this season, and in 19 appearances in all competitions, he has just one goal contribution. L’Équipe now reports that even prior to Páez’s summer move, there were concerns about the Ecuador international among some at the Alsace club.

Those fears have been largely confirmed with the forward struggling to get into the rhythm of Ligue 1 football. L’Équipe adds that the player’s lifestyle is “not optimal”. The publication hypothesises that he may not complete the season with Strasbourg, ahead of the opening of the January transfer window.
