Tottenham Hotspur will entertain Sunderland at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this Sunday as they look to secure maximum points on the road in the Premier League. Spurs managed to earn a 0-0 draw away at Brentford recently, so they would be keen on picking up a victory versus the Black Cats this weekend.

Thomas Frank will set his side up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to keep changes to a minimum for this game. Hence, Richarlison will once again lead the line for the North London club in the final third.

Defence

Guglielmo Vicario will operate in between the sticks for Tottenham after keeping a clean sheet in his last league appearance. Cristian Romero will resume his defensive partnership with Micky van de Ven at the centre of the Tottenham backline as they hope to keep a good shape on the defensive third of the pitch.

Pedro Porro will hope to prove his worth as the right-back, while Djed Spence looks to put in a solid display on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.

Radu Dragusin will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Joao Palhinha and Rodrigo Bentancur will anchor the midfield for the North London club as they look to move the ball well and create some decent chances on the counter.

The gifted trio of Wilson Odobert, Archie Gray and Mohammed Kudus will play just ahead of them as part of Frank’s attack. All three of them need to combine well if Tottenham are to secure a win versus the Black Cats this weekend.

Lucas Bergvall is a slight concern ahead of this game, but should be fit enough to take his place on the bench.

Attack

Richarlison will spearhead Tottenham’s attack up top. He would be eager to get his name on the scoresheet after failing to register a goal against Brentford recently.

Mathys Tel and Randal Kolo Muani will have to be content with a place on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the final quarter of the game if required.
