Manchester United have been linked with Wolves targets and talent, while Aston Villa are exploring contract matters and potential goalkeeper options this summer.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, after reports of United pursuing a reunion with Wolves goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, the club are now said to be leading the race for 18-year-old Mateus Mane if he leaves Molineux. Rob Edwards has already indicated Mane will stay for the Championship campaign and the player has echoed that stance.

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly tabled an offer to sign former Wolves defender Bastien Meupiyou from Portuguese side Alverca. The package is said to be worth about £14.7 million including add-ons. Wolves hold a buy-back clause for a small fee but are not expected to activate it.

A sell-on agreement would see Wolves recoup the £4.2 million they originally paid for the centre-back and then 50 per cent of any profit beyond that. If Meupiyou moves this summer, the club could benefit from a windfall.

Villa are understood to be in talks over a new deal for midfielder Lamare Bogarde. The 22-year-old has impressed under Unai Emery and is attracting interest, including from Brighton, despite his current contract running until 2028.

With Emi Martinez linked with a departure, Villa have also been credited with interest in PSG goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier. Spurs have likewise been mentioned among potential suitors for the Frenchman.
