According to ExpressAndStar.com, Wolves have lodged a bid of around £12m for Olympiacos winger Andre Luiz, with the Greek club, owned by Nottingham Forest chief Evangelos Marinakis, seeking a higher fee.
The 24-year-old Brazilian right winger joined in January, has 10 appearances and one assist, and is contracted until 2030. He previously impressed at Rio Ave, and an unnamed club was said to have offered £13.6m earlier this summer.
Wolves are also monitoring Canada international Niko Sigur of Hajduk Split. The 22-year-old, who can operate in midfield or at right-back, stood out at the World Cup, with Jesse Marsch previously describing his displays as almost flawless. He is valued at about £2.5m and would be a relatively low-cost addition for Cesar Peixoto’s side.
A permanent return to Celta Vigo for Wolves attacker Fer Lopez appears unlikely after protracted talks. The 22-year-old spent last season back on loan at his former club, and he could feature in Wolves’ pre-season.
The Premier League champions have a long-standing interest in Villa’s England international Morgan Rogers and are now credited with an eye on Ezri Konsa. The long-serving defender, 28, has been central to Unai Emery’s progress at Villa Park.
Udinese midfielder Arthur Atta is also said to be on Villa’s radar. The 23-year-old scored six times in 30 games in all competitions last season, including 28 Serie A outings, and has three years left on his deal after an earlier loan. He has previously attracted Everton and Fulham.
Villa’s Amadou Onana suffered a devastating injury blow while playing for Belgium at the tournament this week.
