Xabi Alonso hands senior call-up to another Real Madrid youngster | OneFootball

A member of the academy ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid was on Wednesday afforded the chance to showcase his talents at senior level.

This came by way of a call-up to training alongside Xabi Alonso’s squad.

Real Madrid are of course currently in the midst of preparations for their post-international break return to action this weekend.

A La Liga meeting with Getafe lies in wait for Los Blancos, who will head into the matchup sitting pretty atop the Spanish top-flight table.

A number of Real’s leading stars are yet to return from international duty with their respective countries following the October international break.

As much has culminated in several up-and-coming young talents being drafted into senior training at Valdebebas over recent days.

And as alluded to above, on Wednesday, another fresh face was spotted in the thick of things.

As showcased below, midfielder Jorge Cestero, a 19-year-old midfielder from Castilla, was called up to first-team training in Madrid this morning:
