Jude Bellingham is not having the best time since returning to the pitch.
Although the Englishman did start against Atletico Madrid, he has been benched in Real Madrid’s last two matches.
This has led to fears that the young midfielder might soon lose his ‘untouchable’ status at Santiago Bernabeu, especially given the way Alonso has gone about his team selection this season.
However, as reported by Defensa Central, it appears Alonso simply wants to take things slowly with Bellingham, given his recent injury woes.
In fact, the Real Madrid manager is planning to start Bellingham in Real Madrid’s next league game against Getafe. The two sides are slated to take each other on at the Coliseum on October 19.

The plan is to use the two-week break to help the midfielder regain full fitness, taking advantage of the fact that he will be training at Valdebebas.
Alonso believes Bellingham needs time to get back to his rhythm and reach the level of sharpness required to play regularly.
Bellingham himself is eager to return to his best form. The 22-year-old knows he can do much more and wants to silence his critics after a slow start to the season.
Once he’s fully fit and better understands his positioning under Alonso’s system, he’s expected to become an undisputed starter again.
The club remain calm about his situation, confident that his abilities will shine eventually. Alonso,f or his part, values his leadership and mentality, with teammates describing him as one of the squad’s natural leaders despite his age.
