You know it’s bad when Rod Stewart criticises the Celtic Board | OneFootball

Veteran rocker Rod Stewart has publicly called out the Celtic Board for their transfer inactivity. The Maggie May singer posted on Instagram a snap of him aboard a yacht, flying the Celtic flag but bemoaned the lack of signings.

The timing isn’t lost on anyone after the double blow that Marcelo Saracchi and Kelechi Iheanacho would not be rejoining the Hoops.

Iheanacho reportedly agreed a deal with Celtic but Bursaspor nipped in and offered a three year deal with improved terms to tempt the attacker. Saracchi, meanwhile, went public to say that he wouldn’t be returning despite his best efforts.

Martin O’Neill said that he wanted both players. Instead, only Duran from Qarabag has arrived with a number of departures.

Celtic face Middlesbrough this afternoon in a pre-season friendly at Celtic Park. The visitors have sold 5k tickets and it remains to be seen how many Celtic fans will be in attendance; especially as the game is no longer included on the season ticket.
