Yuri Alberto named Corinthians best player for March | OneFootball

Yuri Alberto has been voted Corinthians' best player for March.

According to Meu Timao, the selection was based on the Notas da Torcida fan ratings after matches, along with additional editorial criteria.

Across the 31 days, the number nine featured in two matches and recorded an average rating of 7.2.

He played the 0-0 draw with Chapecoense and the 1-1 against Flamengo in the Campeonato Brasileiro, scoring Corinthians' only goal across those fixtures.

Kaio César posted the highest average of the month with 7.3, but he appeared in only one game. The award therefore went to Yuri Alberto, who met the minimum 50% participation rule.

In March's averages list, he ranked ahead of goalkeeper Hugo Souza and forward Memphis Depay, both on 4.1.

With Yuri Alberto available, Corinthians face Fluminense at the Maracanã on Wednesday, 1 April, in the ninth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro. Dorival Júnior's side are aiming to end a seven-match winless run.
