A Real Madrid superstar will be in attendance for Barcelona’s friendly vs Birmingham City | OneFootball

FC Barcelona are now in the fifth day of their pre-season training camp in England having arrived at St. George’s Park back on Monday.

And, later tonight, Hansi Flick will get a chance to see his players in match action as the La Liga champions face off against English club Birmingham City in a pre-season friendly.

A Real Madrid star in attendance

As reported by journalist Victor Navarro, Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham will be among the spectators at St Andrew’s on Friday evening as Birmingham City host Barcelona in one of the Catalan club’s pre-season friendlies.

The Real Madrid midfielder is currently enjoying his summer break following the FIFA World Cup and has chosen to return to his former club to watch the match in person.

Bellingham came through the ranks at Birmingham City and went on to become a cult hero at the club before leaving for Borussia Dortmund at the tender age of 16.

It is expected that the England international will be watching the Blaugrana in action against his boyhood club from a private box.

Adeyemi set for Barcelona debut

While Bellingham’s return will be one of the night’s major talking points, as he is expected to greet fans at what is expected to be a packed St. Andrew’s, much of the attention on the pitch will focus on Barcelona’s Karim Adeyemi.

The German international is expected to make his first appearance for Barcelona since joining the club this summer from Borussia Dortmund, giving the Blaugrana supporters their first opportunity to see one of Hansi Flick’s marquee signings in action.

A number of youngsters like Xavi Espart, Hector Fort, Brian Farinas, and Jofre Torrents, are expected to play a part as well.

Meanwhile, there could also be minutes for La Masia prodigies such as Ebrima Tunkara, Guille Fernandez and Toni Fernandez too.

It is expected that Barcelona boss Flick will field two different lineups in the two halves, so as to give all his players some minutes and get them in match rhythm for the upcoming season.
