Addie Handley signs for Celtic FC Women | OneFootball

Celtic FC Women are delighted to announce the signing of Addie Handley on a two-year contract.The versatile defender began her career with Boroughmuir Thistle, before spells at Hibernian and then Hearts, where she spent four years between 2021 and 2025.

Last summer saw a move to Firhill where Addie quickly established herself as a regular in the Jags back line.

During her time there, Handley helped the club achieve a top-six finish last season, being named the club’s Players’ Player of the Year by her team-mates.She also continues to progress on the international front, having recently featured in the Scotland Under-23 squad after previously representing her country at Under-16, 17 and 19 levels

After signing for Celtic, she said: “It feels really good to have signed for the club.

“I think it's kind of been a bit of a long time coming. There were a few approaches throughout the season from them.

Celtic FC Women Head Coach, Grant Scott added: “Addie is an exciting young Scottish defender with plenty of experience in this league to this point.

“She fits the profile of player we’re looking to bring here, and we’re excited to build on that as we head into the new season.”
