Almost 3,000 Real Sociedad supporters have been left without tickets for the San Mamés derby after a ballot that drew 3,521 applicants for 575 seats.
According to Diario Vasco, the surge reflects what many term the Matarazzo effect among txuri-urdin fans.

A draw was held to share out the limited allocation, leaving the vast majority unsuccessful.
Even so, the new-look Real Sociedad will have support inside the ground.
