Arijon Ibrahimović is set to sign a new Bayern Munich contract through 2028, with Vincent Kompany credited with persuading the 20-year-old to stay.
Transfermarkt reports that the attacking midfielder is expected to put pen to paper next week, replacing a deal running to 2027 with an option for a further year.
His decision follows a productive loan at Heidenheim and strong interest from Werder Bremen, Hamburger SV, Freiburg, Augsburg, Villarreal, Brighton and Hull City.
The decisive factor was a series of positive, trusting talks with head coach Kompany, who outlined a clear sporting path for Ibrahimović, the report said.
Ibrahimović impressed in the closing weeks, starring in Heidenheim’s 3-3 draw at the Allianz Arena, where he recorded a goal contribution. He added two more against Köln a week later.
Rather than seeking another move, he now appears ready to compete for minutes under Kompany, with Bayern viewing one of their brightest academy graduates as part of long-term plans.
