Arrascaeta named Brasileirão’s best by SofaScore after dominant Flamengo year

Arrascaeta has been named SofaScore’s Brasileirão best player after spearheading Flamengo’s historic 2025, when they won the Libertadores and the league.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the Uruguayan was the central figure in those triumphs.

He called it a magical year, noting major trophies, many goals and strong displays. He also praised his team-mates for a collective effort.

Last year he played 68 matches, scored 25 and laid on 18 assists, finishing as Flamengo’s leading scorer and the league’s second highest marksman.

He is currently sidelined after fracturing his right clavicle against Estudiantes (ARG) in the Libertadores. He is with Uruguay as he works to recover for the World Cup.

Without him, Flamengo face Coritiba on Saturday 30 in the 18th round, kick-off 16:00 Brasília time at the Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro.
