The parade, which begins at 2pm BST, could be a double celebration, with Arsenal contesting their second Champions League final the previous day.

The Gunners will take on reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain in Budapest bidding to claim European glory for the first time.

They will lift the Premier League trophy after their final match of the campaign at Crystal Palace on Sunday.

City’s draw with Bournemouth sparked jubilant scenes of celebration among the Arsenal players, who had gathered at their London Colney training base to watch the match, while thousands of supporters flocked to the Emirates Stadium.

Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger featured in a celebratory post by the north London club.

The Frenchman, who oversaw three Premier League titles, including the 2004 ‘Invicibles’ team – the last to win the top flight.

“You did it,” he said. “Champions go on when others stop. This is your time. Now, go on and enjoy every moment.”

Thierry Henry, meanwhile, was part of that team and also sent a congratulatory message.

“From Highbury seats to the Emirates - Arsenal Nation, finally we can celebrate,” Henry posted on Instagram. “Special thanks to this generation - finally now my kids saw us winning a title.”
