Florian Plettenberg reports that FC Augsburg are on the verge of signing Nigerian striker Uchenna Ogundu. The 19-year-old Alanyaspor professional is due in the Fuggerstadt for a Sunday medical ahead of a permanent move to the Bundesliga outfit.

Who is Uchenna Ogundu?

The graduate of Nigeria’s “Diamond Youth Academy” moved to Turkey in the summer of 2024 to join Turkish third division side Şanlıurfaspor. Ogundu’s current Turkish first division outfit picked him up on a free this summer and he’s scored two goals in 17 Süper Lig appearances.

Over the course of the season, Ogundu has raised his estimated market worth from €650,000 to €1.5m. Plettenberg and others don’t have details to offer up yet on how much Augsburg will end up paying for the teenage talent.
