Barcelona chief Deco holds meeting with agents of two Monaco stars | OneFootball

Barcelona sporting director Deco this week sat down for a somewhat surprising meeting with the representatives of a pair of AS Monaco stars.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Vanderson and Caio Henrique as the players in question.

Full-backs Vanderson and Henrique have both long been tipped for potential moves to Barcelona.

The former has been more recently linked, after it was suggested that he had been earmarked as the ideal alternative to Jules Koundé.

The emergence of Eric García resulted in the Blaugrana’s interest dying down, but as alluded to above, Deco nevertheless this week organised a sit-down with the entourage of both Vanderson and Henrique.

As per a report from Sport:

‘The agent of Monaco’s full-backs, Caio Henrique and Vanderson, the Brazilian Giuliano Bertolucci, has stopped by Barcelona on a lightning trip to hold a surprise summit with Barça’s sporting director, Deco.’

It is also noted that, as things stand, Barcelona are not in a financial position to sanction moves for either player.
