A Paris Saint-Germain target from last summer could be on the move in the coming months. Liverpool’s dynamic winger Luis Diaz has been part of recent rumors due to ongoing contract extension talks with the Reds.
Earlier reports from Antena 2 suggested that Barcelona and PSG were among the first clubs to show interest in Diaz, with both reportedly willing to offer up to €80 million.
Though that speculation has died down, with PSG set to face Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, Diaz is sure to be asked about his future when the Premier League side travels to Paris.

While speaking to Football Insider, former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown believes that Diaz could be sold to help Liverpool fund more ambitious roster changes in the upcoming summer transfer window.
“Liverpool are in a similar position to where Man United used to be,” Brown said. “They’ve got a very good side, they’re challenging for trophies, but there’s always the question of how they can get better and improve their team. It’s not an easy task because the pot of players you’re looking at becomes smaller. At the moment, do they know what their best team is? I would argue not.
“Salah is always out on the right, that’s a given, but then you’ve got Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz rotating between playing as a striker or on the left. That’s a position, especially through the middle, that they’re going to be looking to improve. They’ll want a real world-class striker to play through the middle with that quality then around him.
“In that case, I think Diaz is a player they could look to move on, because the addition of another attacking player means his role could be reduced. I’m told there has been interest in him from a few clubs, so if offers come in, I think Liverpool will be prepared to let him go. They can then use that money to put towards the signing of the new player who Slot wants.“
A previous report from journalist Pipe Sierra states that Diaz’s camp has denied claims the Colombian was offered to Barcelona. However, they did confirm that talks about the ‘Culés’ interest have been ongoing since 2023. His future will depend on whether he decides to renew with Liverpool.
