Barcelona set sights on Julián Alvarez alternative | OneFootball

The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona have earmarked an up-and-coming Premier League talent as a potential signing for next season.

The player in question? Eli Junior Kroupi.

It is of course common knowledge at this point that Barcelona are on the hunt for reinforcements up top this summer.

Amid an ongoing search for a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski, Deco and co. have identified Atlético Madrid’s Julián Alvarez as their priority target.

In the knowledge that their La Liga rivals will not give up their star goalscorer without a fight, though, the Blaugrana have also been forced to seek out other profiles.

And amid this search, a new name has come to the fore over recent days…

As per a report from Diario Sport:

‘Among the alternatives to the Alvarez, the option of Eli Junior Kroupi is one of the ones that Barça consider best because of the immense potential of the player.’

Attacker Kroupi is fresh off a fine campaign in England with Bournemouth, giving rise to 13 goals across 33 Premier League appearances.
