Bastoni ‘to skip’ Milan questioning, Calafiori interview expected Friday | OneFootball

According to ANSA, Alessandro Bastoni will not attend questioning by Milan prosecutors in a probe into an escort service and possible underage prostitution, his lawyer Salvatore Scuto has confirmed.

The inquiry concerns a company that organised all-inclusive events in the Milan area with entertainment, dining and, at times, escorts, which is not illegal in itself.

Bastoni, the Inter defender, was formally placed under investigation because a girl he allegedly had relations with was 17 years and eight months in 2020, when he was 21. Both deny having had relations and any exchange of money.

He had been due to be interviewed on Friday, but is exercising his right not to answer questions, broadly akin to the American concept of pleading the Fifth.

Other players have been called only as witnesses and are not under formal investigation. Lazio midfielder Daniel Maldini and former Bologna defender Kevin Bonifazi were interviewed today, and Arsenal’s Riccardo Calafiori should be interviewed on Friday.
