It was an uneven debut campaign that ended with a shin injury, but one that offered enough encouragement for United to believe there is more to come as he settles fully into Premier League football under Michael Carrick.

Bayern’s Thinking Explained

Falk has explained why Sesko remains a name of interest at Bayern. The German champions are planning around the eventual evolution of Harry Kane’s role, with the idea of the England captain operating deeper as he ages – freeing space for a more direct penalty-box striker ahead of him. That profile suits Sesko precisely.

Falk noted that Sesko is still on Bayern’s list and is a player who is very interesting for the club. He observed that if the striker struggles to make his mark in the Premier League, Bayern could return to the idea of signing him. The plan for the future, he explained, is to sign another striker who can be Harry Kane’s successor while also being capable of playing in a two-striker system – an idea central to Vincent Kompany’s thinking.

Bayern have already moved to strengthen their forward options this window, adding Ismael Saibari. Falk acknowledges they will now assess whether Saibari can cover the role Sesko was originally earmarked for, which reduces any immediate urgency to pursue the United man.

United’s Position Is Clear

From United’s side, the stance is unambiguous. The club invested heavily in Sesko and, as previously reported on this site, sources have confirmed there is no scenario in which he would be allowed to leave – a position that held even after Barcelona and Atlético Madrid made contact with his intermediaries earlier this summer.

Sesko is currently managing his workload after the shin problem that ended his season prematurely. He is still adapting to life in England, and United remain confident that his physical profile, movement and finishing can become a major asset over a full season.
