Anthony Gordon has been offered a five-year deal at Bayern Munich.
This will depend on the Bundesliga champions first agreeing on a transfer with Newcastle this summer.
The Magpies are understood to be demanding around £80m for the versatile winger.
Bayern remain intent on securing Gordon’s signature in the upcoming summer transfer window.
“It is TRUE: Bayern have offered Anthony Gordon a five-year contract pending an agreement on a transfer fee with Newcastle,” Falk exclusively informed CF Bayern Insider.
“In Germany, it’s not possible to give players more than five years on a deal (like you can freely do in the Premier League).
“Bayern Munich know they’ll have to pay a really big transfer fee for Anthony Gordon, so it’s best to spread it over the course of a long-term contract.
“So, this is what they’re offering Gordon, and also to ensure that they would be able to keep hold of the Englishman for the foreseeable future.”
While there’s an acceptance that the 25-year-old won’t come cheaply, the Bavarian giants’ supervisory board believe that adding a top-quality attacker to the squad is critical.

Just how much Uli Hoeneß and Co. are prepared to bend around £80m, of course, remains to be seen.
Assuming that FC Bayern were to sanction an £80m transfer outlay for Anthony Gordon, it would place the England international as the club’s second-most expensive transfer of all-time.
To put that into perspective, it would represent a significantly higher figure than what the Bundesliga leaders paid for Michael Olise (£47.4m) from Crystal Palace.
While Vincent Kompany’s men are responsible for some notable developmental work, you’d be hard-pressed to say that Gordon is of a comparable level to his Bayern counterpart.
But still, this is often the reality of purchases from the Premier League. Quality, but often for an extremely inflated price.
If we’re looking at the Newcastle attacker as purely cover for Luis Diaz, there’s surely better value to be found elsewhere.
However, the clear advantage with Anthony Gordon remains his positional versatility.
And if Bayern Munich can maximise this Premier League asset as they have Kane, Olise and Luis Diaz, he could be well worth every penny.
