Bayern open pre-season with six senior players at first session | OneFootball

Bayern began their 2026/27 pre-season on Tuesday afternoon at Säbener Straße with only six first-team players available. A large academy group padded out the first session.

Sven Ulreich and Tom Bischof trained, while Arijon Ibrahimović, João Palhinha, Sacha Boey and Armindo Sieb joined after returning from loan spells. Bild reports that Bryan Zaragoza was absent with knee inflammation.

U19 coach Leonhard Haas and newly appointed Bayern II coach Dante oversaw a group of more than 35 youth players on site. U23 and U19 prospects Wisdom Mike and Felipe Chávez were among those involved.

Meanwhile, Serge Gnabry and Lennart Karl continued individual rehabilitation work after missing the World Cup with serious injuries. The pair are not yet ready to rejoin team training.

The session marked the start of Bayern’s build-up to the new campaign.
