FC Bayern win 4-3 at Mainz 05 after a crazy comeback on matchday 31. The Bayern stars in the FCBinside individual review.

Jonas Urbig: Had no chance when Kohr made it 0-1. But then Urbig made a good save against Mwene from an acute angle. After that, the Neuer substitute even shone with a double save: first against Becker, then against Amiri. He spectacularly fished out a cross from Becker, which was then dangerously on target. At 0-2, Urbig could only clap the ball forward from Nebel – Amiri then scored from close range. On the third goal against, he first deflected the ball onto the crossbar, but the follow-up shot was then unstoppable. Overall grade: 3

Konrad Laimer: Had his hands full defensively and lost the majority of his tackles, but set up Jackson’s 1:3 with a precise cross. Grade: 3

Minjae Kim: At 0-1, he and Goretzka were too far away from the goalscorer Kohr to prevent him from finishing. Before the 0-2, he was unable to block Nebel’s shot, which Urbig then deflected to the goalscorer Amiri. He then had more control again in the second half as Bayern kept Mainz away from goal better. Mark: 4

Hiroki Ito: Couldn’t keep up with Amiri at 0:2. Ito was also too late against Becker at 0:3 as a central defender. Ito took over at left-back for the last quarter of an hour. Only just able to score: 4

Alphonso Davies: Had the upper hand in several attacks down his side. Had a chance to score from close range in the first half, but only hit the outside of the net. Mark: 4

Aleksandar Pavlovic: Convinced with a 100 per cent pass rate, but didn’t really get into his duels and didn’t win any of his three duels. Was taken off at half-time. Grade: 3

Leon Goretzka: Started as Bayern captain, but he and Kim were unable to prevent Kohr from scoring to make it 0-1. Otherwise played a solid game in the center of the midfield. Grade: 3

Raphael Guerreiro: Started on the right side of the attack, as he did against Stuttgart. He was unable to make any impact in Bayern’s attacking play. Lost the ball before the 0-2. Was substituted after just under an hour. Mark: 5

Bara Sapoko Ndiaye : The youngster surprisingly made his first appearance in the starting eleven. The 18-year-old initially struggled with the pace of the Bundesliga and lost the ball several times. The longer the game went on, however, the better he got into the game. Mark: 3

Luis Diaz: In the first half, like the entire Bayern attack, he didn’t get into the game at all and hardly had any ball action. The Colombian was substituted at the break. Mark: 4

Nicolas Jackson: Started in the center of attack as a substitute for Kane. At the start of the second half, he failed to score from close range against Mainz keeper Batz. Jackson then scored from Laimer’s cross to make it 1:3. Radiated danger time and again. Strong game! Grade: 2

Substitute

Michael Olise (45th for Diaz): Immediately created some dangerous action. His dream goal into the corner brought Bayern back into contention. Olise then also set up Musiala’s 3:3 equaliser with a powerful feed from the baseline. What a joker performance! Grade: 1

Harry Kane (45 for Pavlovic): Was nowhere to be seen for a long time after his substitution, but was in the right place when he put his foot in to score the winning goal for Bayern to make it 4-3. Grade: 2

Jamal Musiala (45 for Guerreiro): Made a great effort as soon as he came on. Went down once in the penalty area but was not awarded a penalty. A dangerous shot from Musiala went just wide of the goal. The international scored the 3:3 equaliser for Bayern after an assist from Olise. Then played a decisive role in Kane’s 4:3. Good game! Grade: 2

Josip Stanisic (45th for Davies): Played a decent game. Stanisic didn’t have much to do defensively as Bayern pressed Mainz in behind. Mark: 3

Jonathan Tah (45th for Ndiaye): Came on too late to score
