According to Glorioso 1904, Benfica have lodged an appeal after Amar Dedic received a two-match suspension following his dismissal against Arouca. The sanction was imposed by the Disciplinary Council.

The club dispute the severity and intend to pursue hierarchical appeals to try to overturn or reduce the ban, citing the context of the incident. The full-back is on the radar of several European clubs.

The case stems from a confrontation with Alfonso Trezza at the end of the Arouca match, with both players sanctioned.

If the suspension stands, Dedic would miss league fixtures against Vitória de Guimarães and Casa Pia, leaving Benfica short on the right. That would be a setback for the team.

This season Dedic has played 37 official matches for Benfica, 18 in Liga Portugal Betclic and 14 in the Champions League, plus three in the Taça de Portugal and one each in the Taça da Liga and Supertaça. Across 3,097 minutes, the Bosnian has one goal and three assists. He is valued at €15 million.
