Time to regroup and attack

Our eyes are fixed on the Graz-Liebenau Stadium this Friday evening, where our Red Bulls will be playing away at SK Sturm at 19:30 CET. The situation is as exciting as it is challenging: Sturm Graz have built up a four-point lead at the top of the table, but we have the chance to significantly reduce that gap.
It's also clear that after the last few weeks, our lads are finally expected to show a reaction against the league leaders, especially in attack, where they need to break the deadlock after four goalless matches.

Just like us, with Joane Gadou unavailable, Sturm will also be without a suspended centre-back after Paul-Friedrich Koller received a red card in last weekend's 5-2 victory against Austria Vienna. Striker Belmin Beganovic, who has three goal involvements in the last four games, is also sidelined for several weeks due to a ligament injury sustained in the recent match against Austria Vienna.
Regardless of injuries and suspensions, we need to give our all to make our mark in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga title race and keep our fate in our own hands. As always, the best place to cheer us on is in our away fan section. Sky Sport Austria will also be broadcasting the match.
Sturm Graz have definitely been on a good run in terms of results in recent weeks. Their recent performance against Austria Vienna, where they were outplayed in the first half but still managed a 5-2 win, shows they're in good form. For us, it will be important on Friday to understand how this match might unfold. It will likely be similar to many of our recent encounters against Sturm, with a hard-fought battle on the pitch and high intensity. It might not always be the most aesthetically pleasing game – but we have to be prepared for that. Ultimately, it's about going onto the pitch with conviction, accepting the challenge, and showing good opponents that we are the better team. The league table isn't our primary focus right now. There are still nine games to play, and I think we're well advised to concentrate on the present moment and on our own game.

We're currently in a difficult situation, but we want to do everything we can to get out of it. It's clear that a good performance and three points in Graz would help. It definitely won't be easy. We need to be fully focused in every situation, right from the first minute of the game, and implement our game plan both defensively and in attack.
