Benfica have signed Jhon Durán on loan from Al Nassr, adding the Colombia international to Marco Silva’s squad on Monday, 20 July. The 22-year-old will wear shirt number 22 during a deal running to the end of 2026/27.

The club said in a statement that the operation totals 6.1 million euros, covering the loan fee, the player’s gross wages, insurance, social security, solidarity payments and intermediary costs.

The agreement includes a fixed 30 million euros purchase option. If Benfica choose to trigger it at the end of the season, they would secure Durán’s sporting rights on a permanent basis.

If the clause is not exercised, Benfica retain a right of first refusal on a new loan for 2027/28. Al Nassr have also confirmed the forward’s move to the Portuguese club.

Durán provides another option up front for Silva. He aims to reboot his career in European football, while Benfica have the possibility of keeping him permanently should they take up the option.
