Bernardo Silva says winning another FA Cup with Manchester City is a “beautiful ending” to his time at the club.

Silva will leave City this summer after nine years, and helped his side to beat Chelsea at Wembley to win his 19th major trophy with the club.

“Very special,” he told TNT Sports after the game. “It’s a special stadium. The FA Cup is a special competition and we know how much it means to the fans of this country.

“It’s really beautiful to end my journey here this way. The fans are happy and it’s just nice to enjoy these moments with them.

“As I said in my farewell message, this club gave me much than I ever hoped for and I dreamed. I’m just really grateful for all the moments that I lived with all my team-mates, the staff, the fans.

“Also the frustrations are part of it, the disappointments. It was just overall a beautiful journey.”

Asked how much he owes to his manager Pep Guardiola, he said: “A lot. He changed the way I see football. Everything that we won, he’s probably the main reason that we did it, so I owe him a lot.”
