Bernardo Silva is set to join Real Madrid after leaving City this summer.
Bernardo made 460 appearances and scored 76 goals during a nine-year stay that heralded 20 major honours while at the Etihad.
But having departed the Blues at the end of the 2025/26 season, the 31-year-old now heads to the Bernabeu to ply his trade with Jose Mourinho’s La Liga side.
The Portuguese playmaker is no stranger to Madrid, having faced Los Blancos 13 times during his time in Manchester as well as scoring four times against them including a brace in our 2022/23 UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg triumph on the way to the Treble.
Bernardo departs having played a major part in our greatest sustained period of success.
His trophy haul includes six Premier League titles, one UEFA Champions League, three FA Cup triumphs, five Carabao Cup successes, three Community Shields, a FIFA Club World Cup and a UEFA Super Cup winner’s medal.
In his final season in sky blue, Bernardo was captain and skippered us to 2026 Carabao Cup glory against Arsenal and FA Cup success over Chelsea.
We would like to wish Bernardo the best of luck in his new adventure in Spain.
