Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola (23) is high up on Liverpool’s alternative transfer targets to RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande (19), according to Sky Sports News. The Ivorian international attacker has informed the Reds that he wishes to join the French champions as his next club, forcing the Anfield outfit to turn their attentions elsewhere. 

Barcola has been the subject of long-term interest for Liverpool. The French international forward was a reported target for the Premier League club last summer. However, the Merseyside outfit decided to acquire other targets in Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitké and Florian Wirtz. The 23-year-old could finally move to Anfield with Diomande signalling he wishes to move to the French capital. 

Barcola’s PSG future under threat

With Les Parisiens in the process of acquiring the services of Diomande and Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche (24), this casts doubt over the long-term future of the former Lyon forward at the Parc des Princes. There has been very little progress in talks over a contract extension for the Frenchman.
